Exactly on the 19th november 2011, seventy years ago, the first URAL SIDE CARS came out.

At that time, as the danger from the germans was at the door of Moscow, it has been decided to remove the factory further East.

On the 19th november 1941, a train convoy reached the town of Irbit, close to the Ural's mountains with its load of tools, machines and spare parts to start the production of the M72 side car.
It was previously the M71 specification sheet of BMW offered by the germans when the two nations were still in peace.

At mid 1942 the first simple of M72 are product in Irbit ‘s factory.
Until 1945 about 9'500 units had been put together and now today it is more than 3 billions wich came out of Irbit ‘s production.

For the 70th anniversary of the original M72 the M70 model of side car refound his very special color made of a mixt of brown-green and olive-gray.

The M70 is a special road driving side car as it is equipped with 18' inches wheels, reinforced aluminium rims and K28 Heidenau tyres wich assume a good gripping.

Its caracteristics :
Two shock absorbers at the back, plus one ZF Sachs on the side.
At the front a Marzocchi telescopic fork with a disk break and a 4 pistons Brembo caliper.

The double cradle strong fram at a low height of gravity make M70 the best side car for its roadholding.

The M70 is easy to handle on road as on the Retro model because the side car has not wheel drive.
